Ann Marie

Ann Marie is a singer/songwriter based in Nashville Tn., originally from Thousand Oaks, California. She grew up the middle child of five kids and a farmer’s daughter. Her grandfather, aka “the onion king”, started the family owned and operated agriculture farm (Boskovich Farms) in Oxnard, Ca. that her father and uncle later helped run. Her father’s passion for country music greatly influenced her at a young age. She vividly remembers the summer she was driving with her dad in his truck during corn season, listening to Patsy Cline for the first time. He was adamant that this was the singer she needed to learn from.
Ann Marie’s mother claims she sang before she talked and so it’s no surprise that she’s been performing since she was five. As a kid, her father would sneak her into karaoke bars in the Salinas Valley town of Gonzales, where she started to attract attention and create a buzz.
She sang everywhere she could- church, school, weddings, restaurants, athletic and charity events- always jumping at every opportunity. At the age of 13, she got her first professional job recording the end title theme song for Little Mermaid II. However, her parents had their concerns about the entertainment industry and insisted she focus on finishing school. During her middle and high school years, she starred in many theatrical and musical productions, recorded jingles at night for a local composer and started picking up the guitar. During school time, she often wrote lyrics in her notebooks and asked to be excused to go to the bathroom so she could record her song ideas in the tape recorder she’d hide in sweatshirts. She always felt the strong desire to be a musician and a songwriter, not just a singer.

At the age of 19, she packed up her car and drove to Nashville only knowing one person in pursuit of her dreams in music city. She began recording songs for some of the industry’s top songwriters and eventually writing with them. Ann Marie has begun sharing her own original music with larger audiences opening for acts such as Dierks Bentley, Josh Turner, Thompson Square, Clay Walker, Deana Carter, Terri Clark and more. Ann Marie has had songs recorded by artists such as Jessica Andrews, Jaqueline and more. She has taken opportunities to perform with and learn from big names such as Darius Rucker, Adele, Peter Cetera, David Foster, Richard Marx, Kenny G and more. She was a featured vocalist on the David Foster & Friends tour, belting out the hitman’s classic standards. She is honored and excited to have signed with Pat Finch Music Publishing/Southern Crossroads Music and Willam Morris Endeavor Agency.

Ann Marie is currently in the process of writing and recording for her first album.
